Video On Demand Creative Writing Adventures offer many of the features that our live Creative Writing Adventures do. Engaging and entertaining launches for a writing project in the form of a series of TV programs and whole armful of follow up material.
The advantage of a VOD Creative Writing Adventure is that you get half a term’s access to the videos giving you the option to return to a video time and again, or pause a video while watching to discuss a crucial point or pick out a feature to highlight. You also get the same high quality follow up resources, that you would get if we came to your school. These usually provide opportunities for fiction and non fiction writing and plenty of cross curricular lessons as well. We are regularly adding to these materials so they are are constantly evolving and improving. Our intention is to have most of our current live Creative Writing Adventures available On Demand – We have started with Beowulf (available right now) and in the first part of 2021 we will be working on The Highwayman to be ready for use in the Summer term We will also be launching some brand new On Demand only Creative Writing Adventures, the first of which we hope will be a Gothic Horror CAW for KS3. On Demand Creative Writing Adventures come with a Teacher’s Guide detailing all the resources in the CAW, which is available on request with no obligation. An On Demand Creative Writing Adventure is very cost effective. They cost £60 per class. So for a two form entry primary school that will be only £120 for a year group to use it. That gives you half a term’s access to the videos and ALL the teaching materials too. Currently we run our videos from hidden locations on YouTube, in the future, when we have more content, we aim to move over to a streaming service.
